FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What Spotlightrend tracks, where the data comes from, how the AI works, and how plans and teams work.
What does Spotlightrend track?
Three things: news and mentions of your keywords (your brand, products, people and industry topics), changes on your competitors' websites, and the AI analysis of both. You get alerts, daily and weekly summaries and reports.
Where does the news come from?
Google News and any RSS feeds you add, in any language. Each article is matched to your keywords and scored for relevance, sentiment and importance.
How does competitor tracking work?
You add a competitor's domain and choose which page types to watch, such as pricing, product, features and integrations. Spotlightrend compares those pages day to day and spots new and removed pages from the competitor's sitemap.
How often is the data updated?
Automatically once a day, at the hour your company chooses in its settings. Anyone with access can also press Update now to run an update right away.
Can I trust the AI summaries?
Reports keep verified facts, interpretation and opportunities in separate sections, and every claim has a numbered source you can open. Ask AI answers only from the data collected for your company.
Can my whole team use it?
Yes. Invite colleagues and give each one a role. Everyone works from the same alerts, reports, bookmarks and notes, and each person chooses which emails they get.
How do plans and payment work?
You choose a plan and pay for 6 or 12 months by card. Plans do not renew automatically; we remind you before your plan ends.
Does it work with Slack or my AI tools?
Alerts and digests can go to Slack. You can also connect Claude and other MCP clients to search your mentions, competitor changes and reports.
How do I get started?
Choose a plan on the pricing page and create your account. Add your keywords and competitors; the first update runs right away.
